I didn't understand the little boy foster child storyline. Why was Randall there if another couple was there for the little boy?
Because he was there to take his adult daughter Tess to lunch. She was the one facilitating the placement.
And that was Randall 15-20 yrs from now and an adult Tess. A preview to season 10.
they should have at least made Randalls hair gray so that would be more clear.
It was slightly grey - not sure if this link will work.

Yes. I could not stand the way she was just breaking down in her room during the fire. Like, shut up, pull it together, and listen to your father.
Seriously? Her house was on fire! And she, her parents, her brother & her dog were all inside it!! It's completely understandable for someone -- particularly a teen -- to break down & be hysterical under those circumstances.

Anyone? I googled it and I still don't know why it was Jack's tree. Anyone know?
I assume in a future episode it will show the aftermath of his death and funeral. We haven't seen beyond the first few hours/day after death as far as I know.
So the story of how it's Jack's tree hasn't been shown yet?
They had one other episode there, when Randall stopped off there with his bio father to "meet" his dad. I'm guessing they scattered his ashes there.

Can any of us realistically say that we or our spouses would have figured out how to lower people off the roof by using a sheet? Curious if I’m the only one who thinks it’s unlikely.
