We don’t actually know what exactly is going to happen if Trump wins. I mean, we know some of it, but we wouldn’t be able to guess all the victims.

+1. I have Gen Z kids. From their perspective Biden:
- Is a strong supporter of 2 foreign wars which takes resources away from investing in healthcare or education at home
- Took no real action after Roe v Wade to place term limits on the SC (plus they live in a solidly Blue state, do not have interest in moving to a Red one so Trumps comments about how this will be an issue left to states is fine for them)
- Is clearly not up for a second term
While they don't like Trump, they think since we survived 4 years last time we can again.
I would be upset if my kids understood so little about civics and the power of the presidency.
Right here is the attitude that will lose the election for Ds. Instead of processing what someone with a different take away from you says to understand and relate to their reasoning, you turn to insults.

Great economy under Trump? With all the tax breaks for the rich? His appointment of the SC justices has made the SC way more extreme. We went backwards as a society, not forwards.

+1. What did he accomplish his 1st term? He put a majority of extreme conservative justices on the Supreme Court, and other federal judges, making way to push through right wing legislation for decades to come. Who else will he be able to appoint in his next term?
This. I think this is a very important distinction between republicans and democrats- for a lot of Rs, remaking the judiciary IS the goal, and they vote for the candidate that will get them there, no matter how personally repulsive he is. Independents and Ds just seem to care less (or are less educated about) about the consequences elections have on the courts in general, they’re fretting about Gaza and how old Biden looks. Both are valid concerns but if you care about the long game you can’t fixate on it.
