It’s difficult to say. This is about as bad as Virginia public school lacrosse has been ever just on talent alone. Might be even worse next year too. A lot of bad lacrosse
I’d completely agree. VHSL has fallen off so much this year. In past years there have been tons of top d1/d3 players. This year there are very few (Madison, Robo, Yorktown, Riverside/Hayfield fogos). The talent pool will keep getting worse and worse. The only good 2025s I can think of are West Potomac’s tiny shifty middie, Robo’s quick little fogo, and Madison’s CNU commit. There’s no d1 talent in VHSL after this year. Why do people think VHSL is getting worse?
Simple. That's because the VAST majority of the talent goes private.
McLean has two 2025s that are being recruited and a senior who has already committed to a D1 program but as we know people refuse to acknowledge that the team has talent.

Anonymous wrote:The real problem is the decline of youth lacrosse. Not enough good coaches teaching kids the game. There used to be games on espnU all weekend, not anymore. Now they show women’s softball all day. Hard to get kids interested in the sport when they’re not ever seeing the game.

Sorry. Not everyone can be a Saxon.
That's funny since they had to expand Langley's boundaries a few years ago to keep Langley from getting relegated to VHSL Class 5. Lots of parents in that area sending their kids to privates.
That's funny that you can't be a Saxon. Sorry
We had the choice and said hell no.

I agree there is not as much talent on overall in the VHSL compared to passed years. However, I am not a robo enthusiast but after watching them play couple times, talent is not something they lack. Very good fogo, a great attackman, and two poles that put on a show.

First I’ve heard of a d1 player on McLean. Can’t decide if they are actually good or another year of being gassed up by over enthusiastic parents
