In a way, this reminds me of how 9/11 helped me see the media environment more clearly. They had coverage of the attacks on *every* channel. So, it was easier to see who was owned by whom. For example, MTV had the CBS coverage because both were owned by Viacom. ESPN had ABC news coverage. TBS had CNN coverage because they were both owned by Turner. That kind of thing.

In this situation, where Putin's aggression is clearly beyond the pale, the media that gives you weirdly pro-Russian takes is going to show their funding sources and sympathies a little more clearly than normal.
