I think you mean age guy (mr usys) is trying to float rumors of GY showcases again.

Nobody wants this. Patents of correct grade players dont want 36 month older players playing down on their team taking up game time that they paid for

This is the issue with older players playing down and the p2p system. The two dont mix. You can do it in an Academy setting because soccer is free. MLS gets away with it in p2p clubs because eveyone is trying to get to the free clubs. If this wasnt happening biobanding wouldnt fly.

What do think will happen if USYS joins ECNL? They're going to take the top teams and everyone else will be either B or maybe even C teams. Not much benifit for USYS unless you consider going away a positive. Might make sense on the boys side. Doesn't make sense on the girls side.

It will be framed as collaboration. Similar to what you see them doing with their new NPL group structure. Giving top clubs in USYS a path forward is only a good thing for them and strengthens everyone when large groups work together.

Will the collaboration "framing" be as much as of a lead balloon as the one USYS announcment a couple of weeks ago?

I’ve also heard that you can “identify” as a different age if you “feel like” you are older or younger, and that ECNL will honor this because they do not want to be agephobic. Sounds absurd but who am I to tell someone how to identify.

Oh and to make the rumor you keep trying to float work all you need to do is change the cutoffs. But you dont want this. What you want is for only certain players to play down against younger players. Not all players. Cheaters mentality.
