Glennon and Jen, braying all the way. And now that Glennon's sister has cancer, it's going to get very precious very fast. However will Glennon deal with this?

The Hatmakers didn't brag on themselves as an ideal marriage but Jen posted a ton of photos of them as a loving couple going the distance. I think the divorce announcement caught everyone off-guard.

Jamie needed a better editor for her books. I heard her on interviews a few years back, and she has some interesting stories of her young adulthood and faith journey. But her writing is so flat and unengaging.

Brene, to me (age 54), just repeats what we all watched on Donahue and other talk shows in the 70s and 80s. I find her writing parroting stuff that others (Harriet Lerner, Gail Sheehy) wrote about much, much better.

Why is Aaron Ivey not being charged?

To Hatmakers credit they never really hold up their own marriage as something to aspire to or emulate. Good of them there.

These people are so weird. You suffer a hugely embarrassing public incident and a few months later you go back the socials like nothing really happened? I think most people would sort of bow out if the socials forever. At least for a few years. Not months. That’s weird, right?

Maybe Jamie is contextually obligated to promote her book, but yeah, this all still feels super inappropriate.

She and her husband had a podcast in “marriage and mental health”. Like their marriage was some sort of standard and they both had some answers for the universe to share?

Don’t any of these people have any self awareness?

Tragically, the odds are that Aaron abused his own sons, as well. I sure hope someone they trust has explored that question.

It is very unlikely to just be the one victim who identified himself. There are likely many more.

I agree with this because I think the only thing that changed with the victim’s post is that he named himself. She knew the offenses he was fired for. I’m guessing she just didn’t know names. It doesn’t change that much for her other than now she has a face to put with the victim. So if she didn’t have a face to go with what he did all is fine and they’ll just work on their marriage? She’s continuing to sell her books and promote her podcast while being married to a child molester.

Those that are defending her are in denial. Think about what he did, yes, what he did, not her, but she’s overlooking the seriousness of it, the same way her defenders are. She has sons, it’s not confusing. He’s a child molester and she’s staying with him. And selling her books. Ugh.

This 1000%. She is a victim. I hope she will separate from him for at least a few months so she can have some space to think. I'm sure he is on his best marriage behavior right now and being the perfect husband. That would be confusing.
