Their lawyers may even argue for separate trials. Or one could plead and one go to trial.

They need different lawyers because their defenses and interests in this case do not necessarily align. It may be in their best intersts to throw each other under the bus as a defense and it would be a conflict of interest for one lawyer to represent both clients.

His lawyer went to Catholic (toilet tier) has only been admitted since 2009 and clerked. Doesn't even seem to be with a firm. Really odd choice.

I don't think you know much about how actual law gets practiced in local courts. Murphy is probably connected to Satterfield in some way. They both went to Catholic, which is a good regional school where you would be likely to make connections with people who are actually going to work in local courts. It's not "toilet tier". This is not some Fortuen 500 merger. It is a local courts matter, and what matters is an understanding of how the local courts work.

Connected how? They graduated 20 years apart. Mother and son or nephew?

I agree! Clerks often have no real life common sense or . Graduated in 2008 from Catholic? Did he pass the bar on his first try? He's so inexperienced. Jennie will get off scot free. Husband will suffer for his choice.

I believe they have different lawys.

A PP mentioned you could see the court info on line. Wow. Amazing how even being accused of a crime costs you privacy.

Honest until proven guilty applies if there's a question about who did it or what went on. Here, the police found out about the 58 minute cell call, the cell left in the car with the kids. Of course they are guilty. Were they forced to leave their kids there at gunpoint? Are they saying someone stole their car and their likeness and did this? Come on!

Huh? Both lawyers went to Catholic. Toilet tier? Who do you think you are? They both have respectable jobs as attorneys. What an ass you sound like.

I wonder why the husband and wife have different lawyers? Why would you need two lawyers? Couldn't the same one handle both cases, or are they pitting against each other or something? I assume not, since they're leaving together.
