Older women/elderly trend towards the GOP. I wonder how many of them have all their documents? How many of them live in rural areas where they don’t have internet and the nearest vital records office is 2 hours away?
When my FIL died my MIL needed copies of all her marriage certificate and such for Social Security and we dug through everything and couldn't find it. And then she couldn't remember which county or city they had gotten their license in, but we had to pay fees just for the various jurisdictions to look to see if they had it, then to get a copy. Fortunately Social security appeals took some other documentation we had because the whole process took months and months and hundreds of dollars.
States have an office of vital records.

…. It’s almost like it’s not in there for a reason…..

New — During this week's SAVE Act debate, Sen.
Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.) will offer the amendments that encompass Trump's additional demands on transgender surgeries, men/women's sports & mail-in ballot restrictions
Trump asked Schmitt to lead this a couple weeks ago, per source familiar

Great who will lead the amendments to prevent the disenfranchisement of women?

It’s not that simple. The act is the federal government the right to say which papers are good enough and which aren’t. Something tells me marriage licenses, and swing states aren’t going to count.

ya think? what reason might that be to have a law that makes it more difficult for women to vote?

From 2021...Democrats do not oppose voter ID, what they oppose is voter suppression, which is what the SAVE Act does.
+1. I remember when I first moved to Virginia. During one visit to the DMV I registered my car in Virginia, got a Virginia license and registered to vote. I spent a fair bit of money that day - it was worth it to me because becoming a Virginia driver allowed me to work among other things. But not everybody makes the same calculation.
Requiring a passport instead of a driver's license just makes it that much worse of a poll tax.
