Aldi and Safeway are very different stores though. Safeway carries national brands. Aldi’s is like the old white and blue label generic food.

I really do think so many of our Trump-voting parents are in the midst of cognitive decline and it is so very hard to watch. There is no way hell my dad would have voted for that clown when he was younger. And Fox News is not helping with the shoveling of the propaganda BS to our aging parents.
We know a conservative Jewish business owner, not a Trumpster, who is about to go out of business due to tariffs and when he told his mom, she said “stop sending me all this negative news about Trump. I like everything he’s doing.”
Like the Feds who’s parents who didn’t care that Trump’s throw-a-dart cruelty was deeply affecting their livelihoods.
A lot of people are about to go out of business. Trump thought that everyone would come crawling to him so he could personally enrich himself. Some countries will, but the destruction will be so huge that it won’t make any difference.

Seems that China was not persuaded by Bessent’s advice not to impose retaliatory tariffs. And we can expect more from the EU soon. We’re not top dog anymore.

I don’t understand this way of thinking. Fox has been around for 25+ years. Did your parents only start watching Fox when they turned 70?? My parents are 84 and 82, would never watch Fox and would never vote for Trump so maybe I just don’t understand this behavior at all….
Yes. They used to watch CNN and PBS (and the regular non-cable network news). Never Fox News. Until 2016...when they slowly started to flip the channel over to Fox. Ugh.

I don’t understand this way of thinking. Fox has been around for 25+ years. Did your parents only start watching Fox when they turned 70?? My parents are 84 and 82, would never watch Fox and would never vote for Trump so maybe I just don’t understand this behavior at all….
