Yes, America can’t wait to have celebrities once again tell them what to believe and who to vote for. Honestly, I think those types of events are a negative.

Like, less than a week ago, if you told the average young progressive voter that Kamala’s the next president they’d jump into a vat of hot oil while screaming “Cop!” And now she has memes all over Twitter about how amazing she is?!
They might not be the same people. Overall the young people want a younger candidate, just like the rest of us.
Or it’s a bunch of astroturf. Nobody likes Kamala. She is a well-recognized moron.
Almost a million individual small dollar donations is the opposite of astroturf, dear.

My friend (I swear it’s not me, I’m not 50 yet and I don’t like her) is in a Swifties Over Fifty FB group with 20,000 members.

Other side does it too, their “celebrities” are just super lame.

Because young people were mad at Biden and didn’t feel seen or respected by the party. Biden steps aside following pressure from his constituents and they felt seen and heard. Now they’re willing to believe the party hears them. Let’s see if they deliver!!
I think you are right. There was also something so depressing about having two 80 year olds candidates out of 300+ million people. At least that was how I felt. I would still have gone out to vote for Biden but would have done nothing else.
