I think many Americans very understandably don’t follow politics closely enough to form their own educated opinions. They’re busy living their lives and ignoring politics. (Something I really wish I had the luxury of doing these days - I want a time when trust that things are running smoothly and I can focus on my own life.) Instead, their opinions are formed by media which has largely been purchased by the right and therefore overwhelmingly been slanted to the right. Or they get their info from social media or podcasts which the right has dominated. Finally, they feel aggrieved because of their difficulties and appreciate the grievance fests that the right eggs on with the podcasts and social media, which makes them feel heard and less alone.

I have no optimism for the future job market due to AI and all the company consolidation that is being allowed. Unemployment is going up. Housing costs and food costs, healthcare costs. All expensive and the current administration could care less. Very very worried for my children and all these hysterics about bathrooms in HS are so the least of our problems.

This is why Dems keep losing elections. Fringe groups persuade them to focus on the wrong issues.

Democrats are focused on protecting health insurance, healthcare for women, voting rights, social safety nets like SNAP, etc.

Are those really "fringe"?

Dems need to focus on job creation and economic development. Instead, they focus on government dependency issues.
