do you live in WI? Just curious

I had UW-SP on my daughter's possible school list, but as soon as the scotus decision comes down, I will be removing it. A shame, as it looks like a really nice school.

My SATs were in the 600s, and I got in. Grades all As, but ECs were not very interesting. Still, I got in. This would NEVER happen today. Never.


Same here with Stanford.

^^meant to say my SATs in 1200s (scored in the 600s in math and English). My kids did better on SATs (all scored in 1500s, yet they'd never get into Harvard. My kids didn't apply. What's the point?

I went to Harvard.

My kids are going to our state flagship.

Oh, wow! Yes, I would maybe call myself small "e" evangelical still, but definitely out of the conservative bubble. DH is atheist, so that's interesting. I do think there is a place for more progressive Christianity at Messiah (especially among the faculty & considering some of the Anabaptist/Wesleyan values), though much still needs to change in terms of policy (but, hey, at least they can dance now)!. My mom is a Wheaton alum. Funny story, DD got accepted to Brown (& Dartmouth and NU) and rejected by Wheaton. I was wondering if it was because she wrote a dissent to part of their student conduct code about same sex relationships. Ah well. Their loss. She would have been good for them. I don't think she would have chosen them over those 3 anyway.

My kids are too young for me to respond but just wanted to chime in to say that seeing such a diverse list of schools is refreshing. Sometimes this forum gives the impression that there are only really 20 schools to talk about.
