I’m almost 50 and I feel like when I was young women didn’t do any of this. Now everyone gets mani/pedi, public hair waxed or lasered off (and often other hair as well), Botox, fillers, not to mention hair extensions and dye and actual plastic surgery. It’s amazing to me how pervasive all this is.
I don’t do any of it. I’m lazy and I guess I don’t care all that much what I look like.

Went on a date with a man who administers Botox (albeit for headaches). He told me I didn’t need Botox. I said surprise mofo, I’ve been getting it every 3 months for the last 5 years and THATS why I look like I don’t need it.
Then I tried to get him to hook me up with some units at cost and he wouldn’t. Oh well.

Not really. Botox applied well is not obvious.
This is what people who get Botox tell themselves.

Of course men don’t want women who look like they’ve gotten bad fillers. But they do in fact want women who look young and well-rested, and for that to just have happened by magic.
Men always say that they hate makeup, but then as soon as they see a woman without makeup, they say she looks old, ugly, or tired.
They like loads of makeup, just as long as it's the kind of makeup that doesn't look like makeup. They like the kind of makeup that takes a lot of time and effort to apply. The kind of makeup that women might find artistic or, heaven forbid, fun, they hate. Also, if a woman responds to any of this saying that she applies whatever makeup she applies for herself alone, men say that she's lying. If thy believe her, they'll say she's vain. If a woman says that she applies it for men, then she's pathetic.
Moral of the story? Ladies, do whatever you want.
+100
You can try all you want to please men, but it will never be enough.
Don’t get work done in the hope of attracting a man.
Don’t not get work done because you think a man might not like the look of it.
Anonymous wrote:How can husbands not know how much makeup their wife is wearing? Don't they see her when she gets out of the shower, makeup free? Can't they remember that as her baseline natural look? How hard is this?
For what it's worth, I find my wife more attractive without makeup. I've seen her with makeup that she did, that her friends did for her, and that a makeup professional did. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. But it's rarely better than no makeup. I don't feel that way about all women, though. Some I find more attractive with makeup. My point is just that sometimes a man genuinely finds a woman more attractive without makeup.

Men always tell me how much they love that I’m all natural.
I’ve been having these procedures done for over a decade.
They’re idiots.
What procedures? Just curious.
Botox and filler.
They tend to make a particularly big deal about how my lips are so natural, while making fun of women who get lip filler. I get lip filler.
I don’t fault men for being dumb, but I’m not impressed by people who try to compliment me by putting others down.
+1 never ceases to amaze me how people will trash the stuff I’ve gotten done in front of me. Yeah you’re a real Sherlock Holmes. Nothing getting past you.
You’re assuming they don’t know you’ve gotten it done.

Just like the super fit chick who drinks beer, eats burgers and pizza, but doesn’t count calories.
