Grades used to be like that back in the day. A C was an average grade. Now a B+ is an average grade. Ridiculous. An A should be an outstanding grade. Not every kid is doing outstanding work but so many of them get As.
Freshmen year of college I had a Prof ask what an average grade was. Most the kids in the class said a B or an A. He said, “No, average is a C. Most people are average and most students earn a C in my class.” It was a wake up call. I earned an A, after my advisor encouraged me to not drop the class because I freaked out. Lots of B’s and C’s though.

My DD contacts her teachers on her own behalf, and asks them herself. As it should be, since she's almost a legal adult. Mom, it's time to cut the cord. You should not be contacting his teachers anymore. He's 17, not 7.
I agree. I’d led the kid talk to the teacher and when I got involved I’d be talking to school board members, principals, assistant superintendent’s, superintendent’s, state and congressional representatives, state department of education, federal department of education, social media review sites, etc.
You're joking, right?
