Are you serious? She’s the epitome of ACPS dead weight. She got promoted to #2 or 3 in the district then busted back to AP because she’s so incompetent.

To the White Middle Class parent: likely she was responding more to your sense of entitlement, which comes across loud and clear. I don't blame her that. In fact, I applaud her for that.
Signed, a different White Middle Class Parent
My child (who is actually mixed race), like any all children of any race, is “entitled” by law to a free and appropriate education. Johnson, for whatever reason( be it a racist refusal to respond to a white parent’s legitimate concern, ignorance about what an appropriate education consists of, or just plain stubbornness) worked to deny my child a FAPE. You are a horrible person for applauding Johnson for blocking my child from receiving the services to which he is entitled by law.
Coming from you it sounds like you're paying me a compliment. Thanks!

FU. I hope never to meet you in real life.

His track record of c-level staff--particularly Black leaders in ACPS--leaving and being vocal about his retaliation are warning flags. At his previous district in Ohio, his MO was to divide over equity issues. His Twitter is often "vague-booking" shade at so called foes. Are Preann Johnson and Kelly Booz going to pushback? Who on the current board besides Alderton and Greene are fans of Dr. Hutchings?
Johnson will make Hutchings seem like he is responsive to parent concerns. Johnson is stubborn, unwilling to consider others' ideas, and dismissive of parents legitimate concerns. In this time of needing to hold Hutchings to account, she is an extremely terrible choice.
We met her several times while considering whether we’d go to our neighborhood school or not, and this was definitely my impression of her. She was very defensive and did not entertain our questions, while being disparaging of the other options we were considering. Our neighbors seem to generally love her, though.
You have it exactly really right and it is like a microcosm of PTA parent leadership interaction with ACPS leadership. The Polk parents act like they love her and publicly act supportive even if some will say privately how difficult she is and acknowledge her lack of openness to different (and evidence supported) instructional approaches, etc. and to be collaborative with parents. She has shown no creativity or flexibility in addressing the pandemic.
