My son tried out and they said within 48 hours, but I don't really see how that is possible. His friend got invited to come back to practice with a higher-level team today, so how will they know about everyone else until they decide what they want to do with prospectives for the higher teams and what current players do with their offers?
What age group is this?

Think they had tryout for outside girls this week and invited some to practice. So bet it’s by the end of the week?
Only 2007-2009 tryouts are this week, the rest are the next two weeks.
Need to get players locked in so they can’t defect to MLS Next clubs
Arlington players don't defect to MLS Next clubs. They defect to MLS clubs.
Was really just a general point intended to put the previous troublemaker in his place. Still in the last couple of years I'm aware of players who have left for three separate MLS clubs - and that's just from a single age group.

This team is improved from what was already a really strong group.
Agreed. Have seen him in other contexts and he is a perfect add for those top age groups on the boys side. He will be first rate. I posted in the fall that one of the big clubs needed to grab him.
What other contexts? Thanks.
Not PP, but DS (who happens to play for Arlington) knows Omar from Futstars. DS likes him a lot.
Oscar hires him for his private side hustle w futstars.
Oscar being ECNL / academy director must’ve played a role in putting Omar first team over folks that have been around a while.
I'm sure Oscar gets a huge say, perhaps even the only say, in who coaches the academy teams. But irrespective of who brought him on board it's a great move for Arlington and really good news for the 2008 and 2009 teams that he will be coaching.
