I agree. You really need to try it on yourself before buying. I have spritzed fragrances of friends on myself and had to take a full shower to get it off when I think those same scents smell great on them. Lucky Scent and The Perfumed Court are great for samples!

I've ordered multiple samples this past year (wanted some variety in my quarantine life) and let me tell you, some of this overpriced, overhyped stuff stinks. Surprisingly, run-of-the-mill department store fragrances are usually inoffensive, worst that can happen, you'll smell like a room freshener. But with those 'niche','artisan, $500-per-bottle perfumes

Try before you buy, and try multiple times.
