Is that satire?
One reason we didn't buy in the Langley district was because most of the people we knew who live there send their kids to privates. Even people living in a neighborhood like Langley Oaks, which isn't all that expensive and is within walking distance of Langley HS.
This really isn’t true. Most families in this district send their kids to Langley. Do many go to privates? Sure. But not “most”.

Part of the reason that McLean has a lower aggregate rating is because of their 4/10 on "Equity"... which Langley doesn't even have enough data (read: lower SES) kids to generate a score for this metric.
You can pick and choose whatever you want. Langley students only test at 80% proficiency (compared to 90% for McLean and 86% state average). Does that mean Langley provides a below-average math education? Come on.
This sounds like a bunch of bs. A 7 is still a 7. If McLean High School was very high quality it would compensate in other areas to have a higher score but it does not. A 7 is meh but a 9 or a 10 is great. That’s reality.

I think a lot of the “Langley” posters on here are actually trolls. Don’t go by what you see on here to judge. They really are both good schools and both have good communities.
