Bought the closest approximation yesterday from a running store.

They are too tight across the toe box and I hate the lacing design.
I hate how running shoe companies change the style of shoes year over year. About 5 years ago I bought some Mizuno Wave running shoes. At the time they were the absolute most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. I have super wide feet and I have difficulty buying running shoes. I should’ve bought five pairs. Tried on a new pair the next year and they felt awful. Over the years I still try them on whenever I go shoe shopping and I’ve never felt the same as my first Mizuno wave riders. I’ve now moved to Brooks ghost. Last year I got Brooks ghost number 13 and loved them so comfortable. Bought a pair this year and they just don’t feel the same. Why oh why do they keep on changing running shoes?. I would love consistency,
