For the most part - actual discussions happen here.

Not all of the time, but more than BOTC.

The boys side is nuts.

I do enjoy the LI page. They eat their own. Say what you will about any DC/MD clubs. I don't see anyone bashing the other teams within their own organizations. They flat out go after each other on Yellow Jackets. Hilarious.

Have you talked to any synchronized figure skating parents? Now, they've got stories to tell . . .

Seriously, OP, IIRC your DD wants to play in HS, but isn't set on playing in college. If that's correct, you might consider whether you really need a travel team . . .

The last post for the 2027 girls has someone posting point spreads for the first weekend games. Incredible!

GTFOH...now I gotta go look

We can if you want? But honestly...

Again, just go read BOTC Maryland forum. There are plenty of stories if you actually look.

RE: BOTC Maryland forum - holy crap! There are that many people invested in middle school girls lacrosse to have a 250 page thread about it? Hoy crap!

The people over there are...fun LI people are worse

I really feel for the kids of some of those parents. Some of them even call out specific kids/families and act like there is nothing wrong with that.

I think the Stars split was based on parents not wanting to travel so far for practice etc but not sure

That's a logical reason, but in reality, talent is coming from all areas these days, so not sure it's "that far" to go to the St James etc. The Stars teams are becoming more loaded with Public school talent from all over the DMV, so the point is, people are driving further to go to the better clubs.

So to summarize so far. The Baltimore clubs have lots of fun and are run well. The DMV teams are a disaster with lots of player hopping, back stabbing and gossip. Sheesh

1 thing that I think "hurts" BLC is their decision to split away from their Stars merge and go about it on their own for 6-8th grades.

Right. My niece plays at a top Baltimore club and they have the exact same stories.
