The claim was IPL, my child is suffering, IPL yesterday because learning loss. So by any means necessary means moan on DCUM but not get your kid to in person for the mental health, for their test scores.

Are you the ward 3 mom who doesn’t want gov involvement in housing to ameliorate past ills because government shouldn’t be involved in past matters? Even your own neighbors can’t stand you

It is very hard to ignore vitriol in this day and age. There is so much violence and misdirected anger about a system that has always been fundamentally broken for certain communities. I have been in education for 15 years and worked all over this city. I believe that children with good support and intervention will bounce back for a year of instability. This does still not address the immense gaps in achievement that exists. Fundamentally, the problem that I have with this site, is that it is so grounded in individualism at the expense of others. No progress will ever be made that way.

Maybe if I lived in Capitol Hill, but I don’t have time to spend 2-3 hours in the car for a couple of hours of IPL (assuming two round trips a day). I used to drive my kid to a school just east of Rock Creek, and that was 35 min in rush hour, so don’t tell me I can get EOTR in 20 min.
