FCV controlled 80% of the game but did not score.
Being outside the box, I can tell you both teams have obnoxious parents as is obvious here.
Sure, Loudoun has won all of the contests up to this point but FCV has obviously improved over the years with much less of a talent pool to pull from.
On the other hand, Loudoun is in the better league playing against better competition.
FCV will not lose players and actually will gain some. None of the will be leaving Loudoun.
Look, this race has tightened over the years and is now a toss up. I honestly don't think Loudoun should be bragging.
It's common sense.
Why would anyone move to a GA team, whose only competitive games are the occasional tournament and a handful of scrimmages against ECNL teams?
Who has more college connections than any Coach in the entire DMV? Bobby P. and Clyde W. and it's not even close. What is Loudoun's track record for top level D1 schools? Oh yeah, not much of one. When we go to Champions League and win, on top of showcases, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which club will have better college placement.

Please list the rosters and lets hold on to them and check back in 6-8 years. Then we will see who really had the great players that are now playing the game at the highest level. Right now it is simply girls youth soccer that nobody besides under achieving parent athletes puts that much worth in. Lets talk about who is the best when they win a World Cup. Until then take it for what it is LOCAL GIRLS YOUTH SOCCER NOTHING MORE. The most any of the girls will take from this will be to say "I played against her when I was 13" not even played with but against. Enjoy the games but understand you dont have the top girls playing only the local.
Your club has never offered grace in victory and you deserve none now in defeat from the overall community. You mock, you brag, and you belittle and now when you fall short you play the humble, “they are just kids card”?
People have said that for years and you laughed it off as a losers excuse. Well you might be right about that.

It would not be accurate to say that Loudoun dominated FCV or vice versa. Neither did. You could say that in overtime Loudoun got a shot off that went in. Athletes understand that doesn’t really mean that the winning team is the better team. Their timing worked out and they won. This thread should talking about great both teams performed this weekend.
Except that Loudoun has always beaten this FCV team. This is not just a simple one off. This has never been a even series. This was simply the closest that FCV has come to not losing, but the Finals requires a winner. FCV lost and now sit winless in this head to head matchup over several years.
I think what you are saying then is that Loudoun is losing their dominance then?
Loudoun is 4-0... dominance secured. FCV guest players made it close, but result the same. This was a bigger game than before being the top bracket in the top tournament. Plain and simple, GA rising.
They had no guest players.
