Anonymous wrote:Teachers talk. But in my experience, the moms standing outside the school and at the bus stop are even worse. They will trash talk another mom's child in a heartbeat. Overheard it too many times to count from a distance, because I avoid most other moms like the plague.

Apparently, she talks on her phone during class regularly. One time she unboxed a delivery during class.
Occasionally talking on phone, one time unboxing a delivery I can accept, but regularly talking on the phone? That really should be reported.
WTF is wrong with you, people? You ordered some junk from Target and think it's okay to start rooting in it during your LIVE WORKING HOURS??
Gee, no wonder people in this country are so poorly educated.
People at my office get personal things delivered to the office constantly and open them during their “LIVE WORKING HOURS”.... no one cares. I have no idea what planet some of you people live on.

Tell the kid’s parent or an admin but tell someone and you are a witness.
I agree. And I say this as someone who is very pro-teacher and feels that they should be given a lot of grace in this crazy year.
+1. I think 90% of teachers are phenomenal and doing a great job. But 35 years later, I still remember those middle school teachers that made inappropriate personal comments regarding my classmates. I think it used to be a thing—MS was an undesirsble placement but the bullies really liked it because kids were the perfect age for that sort of head game. It’s incredibly damaging. This teacher needs to be reprimanded.

Be more embarrassed than they already are? Why would you NOT mention it to the principal? It just doesn’t add up. You are clearly invested in this (keeping on posting etc) but if you were really upset, you should be reporting it! What’s the rest of the story?
I think OP is hoping to stoke parents’ mistrust of teachers. She won’t name the school or even deny it’s Eastern so that she can keep the maximum number of people anxious.

But, I’m not really sure I believe OP. Why would a teacher call during class? Doesn’t everyone use texts? But if it’s true, get your proof and definitely report it.
As if. I'm a MS para, and only one class is regularly recorded.

Sounds like you have an immature, unprofessional principal who isn’t equipped to do her job.
There are principals who have their inner circle at school comprised of teachers who thrive on micro agressions and micro invalidating other colleagues.
I’m dreading going back on the 15th purely for this reason.
