I don't think even John Lennon could imagine something as far fetched as that

Did I miss the announcement that COVID is over? Because I swear I just heard the CDC Director and President Biden say now is not the time to relax our mitigation efforts because 50,000 people a day are catching COVID and 2,000 people a day are still dying from it. Presumably this mitigation includes the social distancing that is impossible if all students go back right now. I also heard President Biden say yesterday that adults will be vaccinated by the end of May, so maybe it's worth waiting for at least that?
WTAF is wrong with them?
Why do you want to keep kids out of the classroom?
If you are a teacher with a health issue, you are DL-ing.
Its a health issue for everyone. Some of us care concerned about others as well as ourselves.

I guess you missed when they did this in October? There was a thread on AEM that asked teachers for wish lists. Or that a number of people in APE offered to buy tents/awnings and such for outdoor lunches but were rebuffed? Are you privy to the conversations many in APE have had with principals, teachers and APS admin checking to see PPE needs or wipes? Believe me, the principals at my kids’ schools know if they need anything I would be happy to support them.

Yes, and this time last year people couldn’t imagine schools not at least opening on a hybrid basis this past fall.

NP: my kids start hybrid next week and I want them back full time in person in the fall. But I think it's too much to bring them back full time this school year.
Most people agree with you re: hybrid now, full time next school year. But if you don’t keep up the pressure now, you won’t get full time next school year.
