UMMM. My spouse and i work FT with no family nearby or any childcare for our kids - and we ARE NOT PRIORITY for a vaccine. teachers are getting vaccinated and should return

You sound like a troll.

And, most teachers I know have been unable to get a vaccine yet.
Where are these places where teachers already have vaccines?

Two ES teacher household here and we both received dose 2 last Friday, 26 days prior to our students’ return in March. Most of our colleagues have received their second shots. I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t received their first.

We are in a district not to be named on this board.

Not only have all of the ____ teachers received at least one shot, so have all the LCPS and APS teachers.

I don't know where PP is posting from? Maybe she only knows anti-vaxxers who refused to get the vaccine.

This. The only APS Teachers I know/work with who haven’t had at least the first dose aren’t planning on getting it at all.

Are there really that many teachers planning on taking leave at this point? I don’t know if I know of any on leave or planning on taking it now.

Did they get a vaccine before giving notice?

We need teachers vaccinated. We need virtual teachers vaccinated. We need hybrid teachers vaccinated. We need teachers returning at a later date vaccinated.

If you're talking about things we need, we need for teachers not to quit in March. Vaccinated or unvaccinated. But we don't get what we need, do we?

I'm confused. All year parents on DCUM have been frothing at the mouth screaming IF YOU WON'T GO BACK IN PERSON THEN QUIT! OMG! A TOTALLY UNQUALIFIED WARM BODY IN PERSON IS BETTER THAN AN EXPERIENCED REMOTE TEACHER.

DCUM parents now: OMG What do you MEAAAAN you're quitting?!?!?

Exactly. They're getting what they wanted. Too bad so sad. Not.

No, I'm glad that teachers who don't want to teach are quitting. Sorry "taking leave". They should have done that before getting the vaccine. But at least they've finally gotten around to quitting, which they should have done earlier.

Yes! If my kid ends up with the crappiest teachers because the good ones all left that will really show those dang teachers.

These are the good teachers? lol

Our poor kids. The good teachers are bad and the bad teachers are terrible. Teacher supporters are the worst!

Yeah I would argue abruptly taking LOA after being vaccinated makes THEM the crappy teachers. The good ones are showing up for their students.

We need for parents to stop sh1tting on teachers 24x7.

If you quit, sorry take leave, then you're not a teacher anymore. You're just an unemployed person. Like all the other millions of Americans right now.

Uh, no, dear. On leave LITERALLY does not mean "unemployed." Words have meanings.

But tantrum more. It's so attractive

You’re all mental and none of this matters. You’re all spewing into the void. Here’s some lube.

I know, right? They've been telling us to just quit already since Fall.
Teachers: ok, I'll quit or take a leave of absence til I can find childcare and/or find a vaccine
Parents: noooooooo, you aren't allowed to quit your low paying job where you aren't appreciated at all. Or take leave!
