We don’t have the money for private, but would do it if we could.


Homeschooled my DD this year for 1st grade. Despite the considerable sacrifices made, she's thriving. I'm not going to put her into a class next year and have her just simmer. Will likely keep homeschooling into the future.


This is just not feasible for many, dare I say most, people, particularly as kids get older

That might be good for kids to get to watch football games. Seniors especially.

And glad we are catching up. Covids been over for my out of state family for months.

I don't think this is the battle that most teachers will fight. Going back full time is going to be leagues easier on them than trying to balance concurrent/DL. Teachers will have been vaccinated for 6+ months, most adults for at least a couple months, and cases will be a trickle of what they are now. Safety won't be the primary issue. How to accommodate the holdout parents will. On that, teachers were resistant to RTS last fall. They're going to be resistant to concurrent this upcoming fall. You do the math.

Thanks. It’s not an easy decision in terms of paying, uprooting the kids, and having a new school situation but I guess we didn’t have great choices this year or last year and we all have to try to make the best of it. Good luck - I hope public works ok for you.

No idea but July seems reasonable. And variants withstanding, the numbers and community spread should be very low. The FCPS health dashboard today finally had percent positivity in the orange. First time I’ve seen that in months and months.
