OP here. I got distracted and have been able to check this the last couple of hours. It has nothing to do with not agreeing. I asked the question for this reason. I didn’t see it from the point of view of him getting my middle name or last name. My last name is hers too so he will be gettin our last name. She suggested we name use my middle name for his middle name because she likes it. I would be fine if she didn’t want to use my middle name. I will go ahead and go with her choice.
How about Connor Caleb instead of Connor Matthew? You both get your #1 pick in.

OP here. This is a little rude. Names are Connor ( her pick), Owen, and Caleb ( my pick). Middle name will be Matthew.
Of those three, I like Connor the least because I hate the stupid Americanised spelling. I don’t live in the US, but I do know many Irish from Ireland guys with that name, and they all spell it Conor. Connor is a surname or a cr8ive or trendy version. At least spell it right.
Owen is fine. Caleb is my favourite.
OP here. We are both part Irish but we are American. Connor is the way it’s spelled her. There is no right or wrong way to spell it.

Anonymous wrote:The psychic energy of both names is really similar; even though you like different names, your choices reveal that your wife are perfectly suited to each other, on the same spiritual plane.

OP here. We are very traditional with names. The other names in our list were Colin and Graham. We will be going with Connor or using the suggestion from pp and waiting until we see him to pick a name. It will be her decision.
For those saying I’m sexist - nope. My wife chose his middle name. It is my middle name but she likes it. She is the one who suggested we use it for his middle name. It wouldn’t matter to me if he has my middle name. I like all of that names.
