If its one classroom from one person it can a) spread and b) the classroom has to shut down and everyone needs to quarantine.

That's enough. If you come in person can't you socially distance?! Why do you have to bring covid with you....


Who are you talking to? I do socially distance, and wouldn’t bring Covid with me if I were to send my kids back.

Isn't there still hope to get in for term 4? We didn't get a spot in our lottery, so certainly hope the current plan gets expanded.


Our principal said the decisions made now will be final, and that it's a mandate from above his pay grade. No changes the rest of the year. If you turn down an in-person spot now, you're DL the rest of the school year (at our school).


Parents who weren't offered a slot for Feb 1 didn't make a decision...

Our principal, who knows that demand at our school will not be met this term, said she hopes there will be more slots next term and that this is just a first step.

Even without that, it wouldn't be high risk, as the data from around the world has shown. Teachers are not at higher risk of dying from Covid than the average citizen. Will they be at higher risk than as if they never left their house? Sure. But the chance of for any given teacher of catching the virus at school and then dying from it is minuscule and not what any reasonable person would define as "high risk".
