Principal said today in staff meeting that in-person will be back some time in March. Very likely within the first two weeks. How happy does that make you, parents?

Sorry, I'm the PP who has clumsily agreed with you. The point being, LCPS's metrics should be irrelevant to parents. Decide what you're comfortable with (i.e., your own metrics) and if you're good with them, go back. If you're not, then stay DL. My kids are going back.

I feel bad for my colleagues forced to go into death camps. May not have kids dying but staff and relatives with comprised immune systems will.
Put your LOA/ADA comment inside your rectum. The school district is denying many of them because otherwise there aren’t enough bodies to get the system rolling.

C. Parents picked based on the belief they would hold to their own metrics. Now when they’re highest they’re going to throw them out. If violates my trust as a parent that they will keep kids safe by doing this. We were misled.

I had to because of my job but I’m pissed that they PAUSED in person for 2.5 months for numbers lower than this only to now be like “we don’t need them after all.” with spread that bad it’s hard to see how kids are actually safer in school. I trusted the board to follow their OWN metrics to guide safety. Now I see they won’t and I can either send my kids in with spread that bad or switch them to an entirely different class. It sucks. You probably know the denier parents who think kids are immune and don’t spread it so of course they don’t care.
Do you understand how few students are in class each day and how far away they sit from one another? They are also installing plexiglass around each work station. Many many kids have been at distance learning daycare this whole time and there have been no issues. You seem really afraid and I do feel badly for you, but it seems like you should have found a way for DL to work for your child. I truly don't know anyone who picked hybrid who doesn't want their kid in school, and didn't want them in school this entire time.
