I am not an antivaxxer, and I got my daughter every vaccine, but initially hesitated on this one.

Why? Because I saw the press conference where someone from the original vaccine manufacturer said she was resigning because she good no longer in good conscience continue representing a vaccine that does more harm than good.

I didn't read about this, I saw it on the news. I watch CNN, MSNBC. I do not recall which I saw it on.

It made a permanent impression on me, one that I have now changed because

1) That was the original form of the vaccine and it may have had problems initially, but it doesn't seem to now

2) I have reviewed the findings and understand now that some of the side effects and adverse effects are not above statistical norms (that is what matters the most with that).

3) The recent report of its efficacy and safety.

DD _just_ turned 15 so she will need 3 shots. Pandemic timing and us being a high risk family means there were no unnecessary visits to the doctor, and also we moved and were not able to get a new pediatrician.

So, we are seeing a new doc this month and Im going to go ahead and get her the vaccine.

I always thought it was so stupid that they used to not allow the vaccine past a certain age (still do but now at least they’ve raised the age). I remember when it came out, a friend was advised by her doctor to get it even though she had already had hpv because it could still protect her from other strains. I got my 11 year old vaccinated and will do so with his younger siblings. He got other shots at the same time, and it was no big deal to have them given all at the same time (no side effects).

I had 3 sexual partners and was HPV positive at 31. It resulted in weakening my cervix post- procedure and I could not carry a pregnancy full term without sewing my cervix closed. I lost my first pregnancy at 22 weeks. Both DDs got the vaccine.

The data shows this vaccine has nearly eradicated cervical cancer. You’re an idiot not to get it for your kids. Get it for yourself too.

The vaccines are timed. You don't just get to decide when your DD will get it. There are three vaccines. The first two at 11 and the third is at age 12. I am sure the pediatrician told you that.
