Agreed. Tennis is also due for a comeback. It was huge in the late 80’s , early 90’s . Let’s get back to the basics.

I wear the vca 5 motif Alhambra bracelet everyday. It’s mother of pearl. I have small kids and it holds up really well. I love vca and I’ve also pretty much never seen anyone wear it in this area.

how about unbranded pearls, but of documented amazing gem quality. I have a large pair of exquisite SS stud earrings. Like liquid in luster - as good as anything you find at Mikimoto and sourced expressly for me and my specifications. Not cheap, but also not the MM markup.

Go to a real jewelry store and see what catches your eye. Most jewelry store pieces are going to be better quality than a brand name and you’ll get something more unique. For something to be passed down eventually, a unique necklace or diamond earrings would be nice. Something other than studs, I recently spent an unexpected bonus that I received and bought a pair of small hoops with alternating diamonds and rubies that I love. My mom has an amazing jewelry collection including some designer pieces and the piece I’m most excited to inherit is a white gold necklace with a really unique white gold pendant with scattered tiny diamonds.

Agree with a good watch. Diamond studs, maybe tennis bracelet and/or solitaire pendant. And good pearls. Like really good Ss or Tahitian.

I would not buy love cartier or Van cleef, I think they are overpriced and basic.
Better look at some serious vintage jewelry from reputable antique jewelry store.

PP who owns the love and 5 motif, I completely agree with the bolded. And I also don’t get the weird hatred of designer goods here, but to each her own.
