It was Tholen and I think she was referring to it as 55% of the TJ seats available to FCPS students, assuming an increase in the class sizes to 550 kids (other jurisdictions will also get seats).

Omg, they just said they’re going to be continually talking about TJ! Best to try to discourage my 8th grader from applying. The school will be a shadow of itself in 5 years.

Well, theoretically the remainder will be allotted in order of highest evaluated. The problem is they have those nebulous experience factors in as one of the things that get you points in the evaluation system.

Merit is out either way. It’s just about ensuring a certain minimal level of geographic diversity.
