Subject: Olney vs Columbia, MD?
Crazy when people complain about how "unsafe" Columbia is. haha.
I lived in charming NoVA neighborhood. Loved the walkability and access to so many amenities. People called it family friendly. But guess what, MS-13 gang crime was rampant (gang members with severed heads found in local parks, etc.).

This is horrible, but if anyone thinks this incident is representative of the area is out of their mind. As the article itself points out, Columbia has been rated one of the most/the most safe areas in the country. Tragedies happen in every town—in public and certainly private places.
I was on here to check on some of the other threads but when I saw this one resurrected, clicked, and was really disappointed this (what seems like) one very anti-a Columbia poster who seems to pop up all over the place trying to use this tragedy to make a point.
Agree. This is terrible, but it occurred outside an entertainment venue at the Mall, late at night. The victim is from Owings Mills. A tragedy, but could happen anywhere. From the article, it sounds like he got in a fight.

Height of hypocrisy when someone calls Olney racist, but half of pps here are recommending to OP to look just a bit further to Ellicott City that just might be the most racist town in MD.
Thurmont is the most racist town in MD.
