I thought of another, Dolly Parton singing Jolene at Glastonbury. She lights up once she realizes that all these twenty somethings start singing her song back to her.

Another is the first time Lord of the Dance performed (the Irish tap dancers). The crowd gives them a polite clap at the beginning but by the end the applause is thunderous. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Dfrhh1Otwo

Kelly Clarkson piece by piece..sad now that she's split from her husband

Watch this if you need to check if you have a heart. Kelly Clarkson is 9 months pregnant here, performing on American Idol, which she won not long after being homeless. A 3 tissue performance when they cut to Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.

Wow. I'm so glad I wasn't PMSing or pregnant when I watched this. So touching.

This one kills me.....
Piece by piece I fell far from the tree
I will never leave her like you left me
And she will never have to wonder her worth
Because unlike you I'm gonna put her first

I die. My husband walked out on us and it makes me think of my wonderfully resilient children. It's just so good.

This is random, but this is my favorite Kellyoke cover:

This one was such a sneak attack. I mean you’re watching an American Idol reunion show for goodness sake. With some people/performers known to be pretty goofy. And then 😭.

omg so beautiful. tears!

Little Connie Talbot (only 6 years old) when she performed "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on Britain's Got Talent. With no front teeth, captures the audience in awe.

James Corden, when introducing Adele and "Someone Like You" said, "If you've ever had a broken heart, you're about to remember it now."

I was actually there for this show and this was a painful moment to watch. This was the height of trey’s addiction and it was apparent

I’d like the context. Was this their last show? Or is he just sad because Trey is so messed up?

Yes to both. It was their last show and a festival, which is only them that plays, but draws 70K+ for a weekend of camping and 6 sets of music. Trey announced the break up of the band b/c they wanted to go out on top and not become a "nostalgia act", which they still aren't even today.

Im the OP of this clip and wasn't there, but was at the Clifford Ball and Great Went. Appreciate your curiosity!

I stopped watching Idol years before so this is the first time I've seen that performance. How incredibly moving. Brought me to tears.

Joe Hisaishi wrote most of the music for Studio Ghibli. Several of his concerts are really amazing.

From Castle in the Sky: Laputa (I listen to this before picking up the kids from school or storming a castle)

From Totoro: The Path of the Wind (when I seriously need to calm down)

They did a 25 years concert that was amazing with 100s in a choir and other famous singers

Wow. This was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
