The people in charge are racist too. They can’t stand seeing minorities dominate the game (and rightfully earn a spot in higher levels) they way their white players can’t but whose parents have (more) money but less talent.

-white coach who left after seeing this and multiple other issues that have been thoroughly exposed (and more of course that have not).

Signed parent of ECNL player not at either club.

Loudoun is right on this.

Right. Stop embarassing yourselves by confirming everybody's worst suspicions about area ECNL boys clubs (Arlington and VDA excepted). A number of other boys teams outside ECNL are already ranked higher than you in YSR pretty consistently. Go prove you are better instead of staying in a walled garden with frequent flyer miles piling up while you tell each other how great your kids are relative to teams outside the wall. Please.

So tell us....what non-ecnl team will win state cup?

Age and club

Alexandria 07 Boys

I think they already won the northeast regional in their first year playing the cup (after losing in the VA cup final, which shows you how screwy results can be)

Just out of interest, why not? Surely it's OK for one anonymous person to call out another anonymous person?

Get a screen name, tell us what club you're from, and we'll talk.

I promise I'll get a screen name if I decide to call out someone else wth a screen name.

Yep. The problem at Loudoun is not with the parents. Or the kids.

Nah, we good. Loudoun is a club that honors the word. Makes sure they high rollers get coddled. Ensures the pockets of a few remain wealthy. And the rest can go fack off.

1. Why are there so many Loudoun haters do you think? This doesn't happen to most clubs.

2. Why are there no Loudoun parents jumping in to defend the club? Attack any other club and you get parents countering the attack with positive stories. Not Loudoun - the only believeable positive post on this thread is someone who had a nice conversation with a coach but hasn't yet signed up. And that's the same on every thread where some new piece of egregious behavior from Loudoun gets reported. In fact, Loudoun parents frequently join the threads to bash their own club. Way to go Loudoun - there's a sign of a truly satisified customer base.

3. I can't speak for the others, but I do it for two reasons.
(a) the sake of parents and kids considering Loudoun as an option. That way they can possibly avoid learning the hard way as we did.
(b) in order to ensure Loudoun has some kind of price to pay for their behavor. Perhaps if the messages on this board start affecting their recruitment and bottom line, they will start behaving like decent people and the entire northern VA soccer community will benefit.

I don't understand why anyone would be against any team entering State Cup. Of course all eligible clubs should be entering their top teams in State Cup.

The winner of the State Cup gets to participate in the Regional Tournament, with a chance to compete for USYS's National title.

Tell me one club that doesn't want a USYS National Title!
Past recent winners include, BRYC, McLean and Arlington.

Really? Which ECNL club are you a parent at then? Richmond?

Girls ECNL....and we are collectively laughing.

No answer as to which club you're from I see. Because you are of course not a parent at all and instead the a member of Loudoun management desperately trying to manage the fallout from your latest piece of Loudoun-like behavior.

Good Luck in state cup tho

This disingenuous and spiteful remark - oddly similar to a remark you made earlier in this thread - gives the game away.

Bashing Loudoun is a feature of the DMV youth soccer scene .

But - to be fair - they bring it upon themselves by the way they treat everyone: kids, parents, other clubs, officials. Basically everyone who end up dealing with them walks away with an unpleasant feeling.

Not a Loudoun (or Arlington) parent, but considered tryouts with both for my daughter with both clubs this past spring before deciding to stay where we are. In particular, the loudoun coach I spoke with took time to chat with me, consider options, and plan out a thoughtful strategy for my kid, while knowing and suggesting that we weren't likely to make the drive to Loudoun with all the uncertainty of Covid and what was to come for the season. I really appreciated his time, candor, discussion of paths, and helpful ideas. Equally impressed with the communication of the Arlington coach.

I agree it appears that Loudoun not re-scheduling the match seems to be suspect at best - and from these boards, it seems like maybe not always the best organizational decisions from a player perspective. But wanted to share my pleasant experience with one of the coaches of younger kids (below ECNL) to give credit to at least part of the organization.

That's a very reasonable point. And of course Loudoun doesn't manage to ensure that every coach on their staff is hopeless. In spite ot themselves they occasionally allow a competent coach to slip through the net by mistake. I doubt he'll stay long though. In general, good people don't like working for slimeballs.
