That's down from almost 300 dying per month back in the spring.
At this rate, pretty soon there's going to be more people in the District dying in car accidents than from coronavirus.
Or homicides.

I was born in DC and raised in DC. But how white of you to think that.
If you live in inner city DC it takes 30 min to get to Bethesda at 8:30 am. If you live in Friendship Heights you walk across the street.
My kids grandparents live in Potomac now. I would love to drop them off there but the amount of time it would take me to get them there and then back to my home office means 2 hours in the car a day.
But hey you believe what you want to believe.
This is a LAMB parent driving how many hours so his kids can have a babysitter who doesn't speak spanish? Seriously - ask 3 people and you can find an abuella to watch your kids.

And the drama of LAMB parents - whine whine whine.
If only they whined like this when a teacher was raping a kid in the school.
I want a charter, unions suck, but I'm a liberal look they let in black and brown kids. I mean I won't talk to those kids moms but see my kid is exposed to stuff I didn't get in the midwest. I can't afford a private and I'm a liberal so charter charter charter. Well no gov control of any kind and now this is what you get.
DCPS is an epic mess too but the entitlement that you couldn't use your local school so you went to a charter and somehow things would be different.
BTW charters are unionizing. Look at mundo verde.

Seriously, are you experiencing a mental health crisis? You are nonsensical and seem to be on this page 24 hours a day spewing the same hate.

The dad with twins is paying for childcare but couldn't find spanish childcare in DC? Really?
And he found childcare outside his home - he drives to another state to drop off his kids and pick them up? Or are they going to grandma and grandma doesn't speak spanish?
That doesn't make sense.
All I see here are a bunch of people who couldn't hack it at being teachers whining that these people took a vow of poverty to teacher their kids. The idea that teachers don't care about their kids have never seen a teacher cry on a Sunday while she's preparing lesson plans.
And those are garbage people.
parent your kids; relax about the standards; and know the disrespect you are tossing around the people who you want to watch and die for your kids is being heard by your kids.
Teachers in this country take a bullet for kids and now they are to die alone in a hospital so your kid won't fall behind. give me a break - if you can find DCUM, find the time to post on DCUM and talk to the post about your daycare in MD - your kid is not suffering from educational loss.
Standing ovation. This just about brought me to tears!
“garbage people” really?

Did they? That might be true, I just don't see evidence of that. The WP article suggests that the administration didn't consult the teachers regarding the plan.
I'm not sure what more the teachers could want, but it would be useful to hear from them.
Unless there's other info out there, like the list of demands from the WTU.
