If he didn’t have close contact at the Rose Garden event, I think that means he knew it was going around and got out of there after he spoke. Any photos of him hob-nobbing with known positives?
That would be my guess. I notice that none of his staff got COVID either. He might be the smartest Republican in government, which isn't really saying much, but still.
There's a picture of him basically surrounded by COVID+ people at the Rose Garden event. He's in the front row, so I don't know if they're arguing that he never turned his head sideways or back.
Katie Miller had Covid earlier this year, so not "smart" exactly. He had some of the first Administration staff to get Covid!

The two sides have campaigned in part on different approaches to the pandemic. A plexiglass divider is a concession that the disease is more dangerous and infectious than the Trump-Pence campaign wants to admit. It also has Pence start from a weaker position in the debate, essentially an acknowledgement that the Biden-Harris more careful approach was right.
It's all political posturing unfortunately.
I can't find the article, but it sounds like the Election Commission is allowing Pence to be without plexiglass on his side, but Harris and the moderator both can (will?) have plexiglass shields between themselves and Pence.
I'm not sure that is the look Pence was going for, but it certainly will underscore how capricious the GOP team has been with this virus.

So they say. Who the hell believes it?
I do. There’s no positive for none of Trump’s staff or Trump being on the campaign trail. In the past 24 hours Biden’s done town halls and speeches in Pennsylvania and Florida.
Also - protect Kamala.
