Usually overall B division winner would move to A.

NL really does seem to be building a great program. Do you have any insight on if they will keep it going through high school? It is interesting watching all of this play out. SO many girls left MC to go to NL and I wonder if they will go back for high school? I wonder if MC will realize it is spread too thin and just stick with high school?

I agree with you. If I were MC, I would be thinking that HS would be my competitive advantage particularly with the Stone Ridge tie-in. I would probably try to turn the program into the Capital for MoCo, as Capital is really a VA club.

Unless you are trying to force families into committing to your before they even look at other options.

watched the NL/Crush 27 game this week. Was impressed with the improvement over this fall and summer. Even though they lost, they were competitive against one of the top B programs inthe state. Game likely would have been closer if NL had a more compressed roster and didnt play their bottom 6 or 7 gitls.

Program clearly moving in right direction.

I thought NL did have a high school program? One that isn't competitive but still. If they are really good at the younger grades, why isn't their high school team better?

Tough to say. BLC is 0-5 in the A bracket. All records from all divisions are here:

BLC should have been in the B Bracket, and the bottom 3 teams should have just played rec. Then, it would have been a competitive division for all teams. I am surprised Skywalkers and pride have b teams playing NGLL as 5th graders. 3x as much money as rec, less games, and endless driving to lose most every weekend can not be a fun way to spend spring.


It's a disservice to the families here on the Skywalkers and Pride B teams in this division. They are not competitive at all and as you mention, that doesn't make for a fun weekend for 2 months and all that driving around. I'm actually surprised at how non competitive they are coming from 2 good programs. Maybe the Parents are pushing the clubs to fields these "B" teams instead or realizing the kids are better off just playing rec to improve?

Programs get the option. Which is why some BLC Blue teams are 'A' and some 'B'. And why M&D, Hero's, and Skywalkers have some of their 'B' teams in the 'A' bracket. Often when a team wins the 'B' division they decide to go 'A' next year unless there is some major roster turnover, etc.

I thoroughly agree. Those lopsided matchups have not helped anyone.
The bottom 3 teams are rec worthy at best. I also agree that cclax is better then their record shows. BLC would have been a good addition to the B group and allowed for 2 divisions.

Agree with this here. There needed to be 1 more team to make 2 divisions of 6 and put the top 6 in 1 side and the others in other division. The bottom teams as pointed out are not any better than a rec team if that and in reality, feel for those kids and parents as they are not learning with the week in and week out blowouts by the top 6 teams. NL has good talent and plays well. Overall the top 6 in B are all having competitive games. CClax is also competitive just had some bad luck with scheduling.
