My guess as well.

How about some sort of serious financial mismanagement? A blogger I used to read left her husband when she found out he had completely tapped all their accounts to support a gambling habit. That would explain the quick filing before he could do more damage.
Complete speculation.

Please elaborate. Do you have personal knowledge of what happened? Point me in the right direction! I am truly fascinated and have scoured the internet and found nothing of substance.

No I’m just saying it’s obvious it’s not that. Cheating is bad but she said she didn’t see it coming. So it leads me to believe it’s a different type of betrayal. Usually with cheating people say we are separating to figure things out.

This is why I think it's with someone personal -- a close family friend or someone they all knew. If it were drugs, she'd get him in rehab. If it were gambling, she'd support him getting help. If he were gay, they'd announce together and pledge to be family forever.

Um have you ever been cheated on? I have and I assure you it was very bad, it completely blindsided me, and yeah, I went bananas and completely shut that door.

I’m impressed at how locked down the rumor mill has been.

What these homewreckers fail to realize is that what they got is a disgusting cheater that will do it to them down the road. #winning. NOT

Got off on it? Hardly. Everyone acts like the OW is some heartless, flat villain who delights in the breakdown of a family. No one "gets off" on being the other woman. While it's hidden, you are crushed when you are daily reminder that the man you love can't or won't choose you. Birthdays, Christmas...alone. It's the loneliest life imaginable. And then after D-day it gets worse. Everyone hates you and says "you were nothing. You were a fling. He didn't love you." And he just bows his head and goes along with it to save what was lost. She's angrier with you than him. Everyone is. And you have no one. Married women hate you because they fear your kind. They fear the one who "sees" your husband, laughs at his jokes, gets to know parts of him you sarcastically ridicule after twenty years of marriage.

There's "getting off" on being hated and not chosen while this is going on. There's just deep loneliness and a total loss of self.

Marriages that fall apart weren't strong. And the OW isn't too be blamed for that.

Those rumors were flying on GOMI over a month ago and it seemingly locked the thread forever. Also it was mentioned here back on page 2 or something. They all live in the same town and it wouldn't shock me TBH. Part of me wonders if a fling would drive Jen to throw in the towel so quickly though -- no counseling or second chances. I think whatever has happened is bigger than that.

+100 if he’s cheating with Hollis, that is a ghastly extra layer of betrayal, and a nuclear response is appropriate.

On reddit those threads get deleted and locked. It is speculation with no evidence whatsoever other than that they divorced at around the same time. Was there any actual evidence?

Rachel’s husband wished both Brandon and Jen the best in her Instagram post, so I highly doubt there is any truth to this rumor.
