IKR?!?! Who knows what those kids, especially the little one, did BEFORE the filming started?!? They must have done something to make the adult assault them?
Pathetic.

I saw the whole thing and there is no other interpretation. He attacked teens for holding up BLM fliers. Chilling and I hope they catch him, arrest him and he gets fired.
I'm absolutely NOT defending his actions and he needs to be held accountable. But why are the gals' parents allowing them to litter in a park? I can't freaking stand litter and fliers and tape are litter. Plus nobody gave them permission (permit) to put fliers up on public land. It's very entitled behavior. Put fliers up on your front door or your car -- not in a public park.
Stay on topic please. If you want to talk about “littering,” start a new thread.
I suspect their littering and/or their blocking of a bike trail while putting up the fliers is what set him off. Doesn't absolve him of his actions, but he likely didn't care about (or even know) what was on the flier -- yet that's how it's being perceived on social media right now.
These kinds of aggressive cyclists are the worst, and they are all over the Mount Vernon Trail in Alexandria in Arlington.
A few weeks ago, some cyclist blamed and yelled at me because I didn't get out of his way while running - he was trying to weave in between myself (right lane) and another cyclist traveling in the opposite direction - and crashed on a downhill curve, because I "blocked" him (despite being in the right lane per trail etiquette).
They are always 50+ year old ragey white males.
I agree they are obnoxious and often unhinged lunatics — but pedestrian crashes kill and perm hurt bicyclists and pedestrians all the time. Often it’s the result of careless pedestrians. Yet on social media this is framed as stemming from his opposition to BLM. I’d assume he was set off by the girls obstruction the trail and not their fliers.
Don't try and justify the behavior. These are multi-use or mixed use trails. If there are obstructions, you slow or stop and walk your bike. This jackass (and there are many like him, everywhere) just get bothered that they can't get their fast ride. Tough numbnuts. Cyclists don't own the trails. You have to share them, even it means coming to complete stops.

But to those who are attaching flyers to every tree in our neighborhood (defund the police!), please stop. The staples hurt the trees, and it’s illegal. And we will tear them down as fast as you put them up.
These kids were using tape.
So who is going to remove the tape? In DC they barely empty public trash cans.

People should post flyers of his face on that trail with a "Do you know this man" title.

Congratulations! You’ve just won the DCUM Stupidest Comment of the Day. A man literally assaulted tweens because of...littering. 🤦🏻♀️ Stop drinking, step away from the computer and go away. NOW. You’re done here, and adults need to find this loser.
