The whole cast of DWP was amazing.

mia wasikowska as jane eyre. Jane is described in the book as elfin and fairy like, and although I thinks she is attractive, she can act plain. Michael fassbender was a good as mr. Rochester. The character isn’t supposed to be good looking but the director shot him at some angles to play down his looks. Rochester is supposed to be powerful and fassbender played the cutting, bitter, brooding leading man very well.

It's amazing to see some actors perfectly cast in such different roles. I agree with you about Jack, but Melvin Udall and Colonel Jessup are about as far apart as you could get! Like Mrs. Doubtfire and Seymour Parrish from One Hour Photo - two totally different sides of Robin Williams.

I think Michael C Hall was brilliant as both Dexter and David Fisher on Six Feet Under although those two characters were polar opposites.

I like Jack Nicholson and liked the acting in “As Good as it Gets,” but Helen Hunt was 34 and Jack was 60. I just didn’t buy that she’d be attracted to him.

Meryl Streep as Mary Louise Wright on Big Little Lies. I loved the first season but she blew it away in the second season. The rest of the cast was good as well but she commanded entire scenes with a single word or even a look. She was so, so good as that character.

Yes, give me Bateman anytime anywhere, but this role is great for him.

I also think Laura Linney is perfect. The way she looks so innocent with her dimpled smile but can then be cold and calculating when talking to Marty. I don't think I appreciated her enough before this.
