The fact that she could/would not have discussed a life-changing injury with her therapist is the weirdest part of this post. WTF?

Agreed!

How does a life altering injury that causes pain EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF EVERY SINGLE DAY not make the short list of things to discuss with your therapist?

Not only did it not make the list, but it didn't even occur to OP to mention it??? Riiiiiiiiiight.

I'm assuming OP considers herself an expert in this "super" secretive breed of dog (she does love using that word... "super") and so training wasn't necessary, right?

It's a puppy -- training is mandatory if you don't want accidents like yours to occur.

This puppy is 7 months now?
This accident is ALL on you then -- next time, get your puppy trained or don't blame them when something like this occurs.

Because it's probably nothing like that. Somehow her injury would identify her but not any of the other details she's described. Either troll, drama queen, or some psych disorder.

I think you nailed it.

OP - DCUM has spoken with universal agreement, this is a a very limited occurrence. You can do what you want, but nobody agrees that this puppy injured you. An accident happened with the puppy for which the puppy bears no fault. Your resentment is a result of your belief that the puppy is at fault. You need to get over that. The puppy is a puppy, it is not "bad" and it does not intend to do anything with malice.

OP, this has gone on WAY too long. Injury and dog breed or it didn’t happen.

I am not a pet person. However, your puppy did not injure you. You brought a puppy into your home, didn't secure it, and you tripped over it while doing something dangerous.

I'd never have a pet myself, but I can't imagine what else you expected. If you had a small child who liked to run around a lot, wouldn't you look twice before coming down the stairs with a loaded basket or whatever? And if you tripped over the child, would you say that the child "injured you"??
