If the clubs don't collect deposits this Spring then a lot will have major problems. They know this and that is why all existing players are getting offers. Do your research in other parts of the US and what issues youth sports faces. Ignore the posers on here from club admin that want us to pay for a fall of non-soccer. Lots of fake posts here.
Are player parents that are already receiving offers seeing potentially prorated fees for 20-21?
This is my problem with the clubs. They are acting as if everything is normal and play will continue with some minor delay, and they are loathe to put anything out to parents with this option.
It really is sad. I know the people who run our club and it is all about ensuring its survival somehow, and not what is best for players and families who need the money and want to wait to pay once youth soccer practices and games really begins maybe 18 months from now they are saying. 6-12 months would be great, but basically depends on the vaccine development.
Jesus! Then don’t play..... for us that want to move forward we will go for those who don’t stay inside. I will not keep on stopping my life for the fear that someone is going to get this virus. Our economy as a whole will not survive. These coaches have families as well, people can’t feed their families. You talk about people dying from this virus if this keeps on going on can you understand the magnitude of starvation on the horizon? The numbers of death to the population at hand is a fraction of the number who will commit suicide and starve if the economy keeps on going down I know that’s not something that a lot of us privileged people want to talk about or can see but try to look at the whole entity instead of just looking at the small little percentage of people that could be affected by that is if you don’t get back to our lives. Waiting for a vaccine is not a privilege that the economy can withstand.
The economy is not reliant on youth soccer. Sorry mate.
Your correct. But all these clubs and soccer coaches are.
So you are a coach then. I get it now.

If clubs and soccer coaches are solely financially dependent on youth soccer, then shame on them. Pick up a trade, utilize your COLLEGE EDUCATION, or find another job. Find an essential job, then you won't be on here trying to convince these parents that it's okay to put their kids back on the field so you can make a dollar.
Anonymous wrote:If your DC is on a lower team, there is no need to pay a dime. When clubs that are left pick up the pieces and continue in 2021, there will be an opportunity to pay and rejoin. They will need ALL the money from as many as they can get. Don't get sucked into false promises of moving up to the top A or B team now for a fall season of Zoom soccer, and then just get displaced in 2021.
If you are on A or B at a big club, no need to pay either. They will pressure parents and tell them their DC's spot is "lost" and it will go to someone else, but once things begin in 2021 there will be big opportunities for players to rejoin and pay then. Every honest coach will tell you this. Do you know any coaches? Come on folks.
There are lots of coaches and club admins posting on here trying to keep things optimistic before a critical mass of parents start pulling out of the Zoom meetings and training leaderboards nonsense. They know that as parents find out there is no hope of Fall soccer, then the whole club crumbles over summer and big club cuts have to happen.
It is amazing how Disneyworld gives back refunds on paid-in annual passes, but so many parents are so scared of upsetting their coach or club that they are afraid to stop forcing their DC to do this virtual stuff, le alone request a refund. Give your money to an unemployed family instead of paying for Fall Zoom soccer because you are a scared rule-follower.
Lots of clubs don't like posts like this, so expect a backlash. We told both of our coaches our DCs couldn't do any of this online virtual soccer right now, and they were totally fine with it and understood and appreciated the honesty. Both top players on A teams. We do our own thing when we can (twice a week) at a privately owned grass area. We told them we would be back in touch at summertime once we had the bandwidth to deal with more stuff.
NO PROBLEM OR BACKLASH AT ALL from the coach and club. Both my DC will play on a local top A team come 2021, promise you that. And if our current club has an a-hole who somehow comes in and forces our DC out to 3rd or 4th team (and every other A/B family that has refused to put down more money), then there are a lot of other options in town.
Without Fall soccer, clubs' survivals are at issue and they don't want any family to start a snowball effect by being the first to opt out. Well, we did at our club. With neither my wife or I working and all these health issues and home schooling . . . well, Zoom soccer become a total charade.

I know why you are not that worried. You are planning to inject yourself, your kid and family disinfectant 😂 As POTUS suggests.

It’s not going to be up to you. The govt will let you know when they deem it safe for you and everyone else to use their facilities.
