Us Jews will stay home for Passover (all the synagogues I know of have gone to totally virtual services anyway) but I've heard nothing from the Pope. It's inexcusable that he hasn't come out and urged Catholics to stay home and access virtual masses.
The Catholic Church closed all it’s churches and has forbidden any public masses. What more could they do?
Catholics aren't the only ones who celebrate Easter ...
For reasons beyond my understanding, the OP specifically called out the Pope. Incorrectly as it turned out.
The Pope has authority over a crapton of people. It's not unreasonable to expect him to provide instructions. Luckily he's been reasonable, but it was worth the ask.
Np. Nope, it wasn’t reasonable to call out Catholics when a simple google would have told you the Pope has closed down gatherings. And it wasn’t reasonable to single out Catholics.
OP was corrected in the second post of the thread. Why are you still typing?

The churches staying open are not Catholic, so why are you blaming the Pope?
You're just full of prejudice, aren't you, OP.
Don't worry. I'm sure at some point in your life Catholics will do something egregious and you'll have a field day!
Oh jeez. I'm not anti-Catholic.
It was a question borne from all the coverage of churches being open. You all are so defensive. I would be saying the same thing about mosques if a major Muslim holiday were coming up.

So you can thank FL for keeping us all unsafe. DeSantis must be looking for a cabinet seat in the future. He’s scum.
