That's the house. There is a small cove but it is connected to the Bay directly. The next cove to the South is Columbia Beach, where they were spotted and someone called 911.
The canoe was found near Rockhold Creek which is in the town of Deale, 5 miles away as the crow flies.
I was bored.
The house is circled, X marks the next cove, arrows are the undercurrent taking them straight out to the Atlantic ocean.
Its not for nothing that the Chesapeake Bay is known as dangerous with a strong undercurrent.

HAHAHAHA "straight out into the Atlantic Ocean" If you're so bored, perhaps you could brush up on local geography. Do you realize how far Deale is from the Atlantic Ocean? Look at a map of the Bay.
The danger was being swept out in the Chesapeake Bay which sadly is what happened.

Yikes. That’s not a cove in my mind – that’s pretty much open Chesapeake Bay

Sadly, those were probably her last thoughts...

They aren't cursed. They're privileged and careless.
I agree with you pp. It is also because they are famous that we know anything that happens to them
IDK.
They are some other famous families that you don't hear crazy things about - Bushes, Waltons, Vanderbuilts.
In my mother's lifetime - the Kennedys have had two people shot and killed, three people (only including blood members) die in a plane crash, one person die in a boat crash, one person kill someone in a motor vehicle accident (Ted - not including his cancer bcs that could happen to anyone), a death in a skiing accident, at least one death by suicide, and two deaths by drugs.
Honestly -- its the sort of thing that makes one believe in curses. Which is sad because as a family they've done so much for this country.

I don't think they're cursed. They are a family that loves physical activity and adventure and they have the money to pursue it. Thus living on the water, affording to fly a plane, skiing. And unfortunately, political assassinations/attempts are not uncommon in this country.
Umm I’d argue they’re very rare. Especially compared to areas of South America and the Eastern bloc.
Only two Presidents out of 45 shot and killed plus one wounded.
I never hear of Congressional reps being murdered either. Death threats online, yes. But actual targeted and successful attempts? No.
Two out of 45? I can think of at least 4: McKinley, Garfield, Lincoln, Kennedy. Am I missing anyone? Gabrielle Giffords wasn’t killed but she was certainly targeted.
