Yes, I think it's reasonable to expect the pandemic to be over when the pandemic is over.

However, this discussion is about school before the pandemic is over.

By initial wave, I obviously mean this spring. Number of deaths from any potential new wave in the future should be expected to be less.

Remdesivir was only 30% effective in measurably helping patients. It was given in the worst case situations. It may be better in patients with lesser symptoms, but this is something you will only ever get in a hospital on life support for a very long time.
