He surprised me and said no but that he would like me to grow my nails out and paint them a sexy color like pink or red! So the trick with this request is that I am a nail biter. I am trying to paint with a nail strengthener every night but it’s slow growing. I’m trying but this is going to be hard.
In conclusion, I don’t think it’s an unreasonable request. My DH asked me to do something he finds attractive/sexy. It’s good to communicate this stuff right? I think being asked to put makeup on every day would be a higher bar and I would probably refuse on practical grounds but I would do it on weekends and evenings out if that is what he wanted.
If you want a serious recommendation, I bit my nails for almost 30 years and now have perfect nails all the time. I started with the dip powder and it doesn't let you bite them so they can grow out. I go every two weeks now and have dropped the impulse to bite since it's not possible. Total game changer.

Anonymous wrote:OP this is very telling. He “likes seeing women with makeup on”. Which probably means he likes seeing one particular woman with makeup on. I’m not being fatalistic, I’m being realistic. Has his behavior changed at all aside from this?

In what scenario would your partner, whom you chose and knew you before marriage, would suddenly request you wear make up if you have never before been the kind of woman who wears makeup?
This is such a stupid, baiting question, I have to wonder about the person who asked it. ARe you a teenager or something? Do you have any idea how adult relationships work?
I’m 38 and this was the first my husband asked for this. Like I said above, he bought me makeup for my birthday and I asked him why did he get this knowing I don’t wear makeup. Then he said he wants me to start wearing it every day because he likes seeing women with makeup on. He never said this before.
Hahaha - I wasn't that good looking when we got married! And I know that my husband doesn't want me to wear makeup now. Really, folks, I'm fine with y'all wearing makeup. I wish you'd just accept the fact that some of us don't want to wear makeup and leave us alone.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:No. But he knew when he married me that I didn't wear makeup.
It's possible that when you married, you didn't need makeup the way you do now. We all lose natural color as we age.

If someone notices and criticizes that you aren’t wearing makeup to a formal event, it is likely a woman self-conscious about her own appearance.
I’m AA, 48, and have great skin. No wrinkles or blemishes. I want to show that skin off, not bury it under makeup.

That they oftentimes tend to clog facial pores, thus creating blackheads & acne.
Usually women who do not wear make-up have naturally, beautiful skin it seems.
