Your anecdote does not hold up as it is legal for men in the Gulf to have multiple wives and not in the US. And women have no legal protections regarding custody of their children in the event of a divorce, and here they do.

If you don’t know what you are talking about then please be silent. It’s better than spreading untruths about a culture and law you are not equipped to talk about. Divorce is not uncommon in the Middle East, especially in the cultures of the Arabian Peninsula. My friends liver with their mothers after their parents divorced. I’m not a proponent of polygamy but all sorts of relationships are legal now in the US. What’s the difference between polygamy and American’s that engage in extramarital affairs? That settlement is chump change to what she was used to, if you look at the numbers he's basically only paying her for 2 years. She and her children will have a massive lifestyle adjustment, and that's even if he bothers paying. No way is it going to be enforced he's a royal, and if he tried, he'd pull his investments out of the UK, and the UK is dependent on their money, so it's basically all for show.

Looks like Haya’s Dad, did something similar according to Wikipedia:

They are both are awful people. She knew very well what she was getting into. She could have easily married into a wealthy Jordanian family like the rest of her siblings but she had hang ups from her own complicated family dynamics.

Her half-brother, King Abdullah, loathes their father’s last wife, Queen Noor, and Haya and Ali, who were born from the third wife that died really had nobody to look out for them in all the palace intrigue. There was a collective WTF moment when she married the ruler of Dubai (because their ways are known) but her ambition was very plain and clear. Not only had she secured enormous unimaginable wealth for herself and her future children but she had also elevated hers and her only full brother, Ali’s, profile in Jordan. Jordan is poor and highly dependent on countries like the UAE. She was suddenly much more important to her half brother, the King of Jordan.

For the poster that is saying Haya is not a full Arab. She is. Her father’s family in fact is from the tribe of Hashem, the tribe of the Prophet Muhammad. Their direct lineage is well documented and what they use to assert their power. Her ancestors were the caretakers of the Holy Mosque in Mecca. They were kicked out of Western Saudi Arabia in the early part of the 20th century when the Ottomans lost control and family of Al Saud took over. They were vanquished to the God forsaken lands of Jordan. She is as Arab as it gets.

Now sleeping with the help…..I didn’t expect that, but considering the decisions she had made in life, this woman has no ambition except to be fabulously wealthy.
