Google can help you with that.
A man gives an NJ doctor a bad review after surgery, the doctor iniates a defemation lawsuit over it and uses NJs red flag law. He later admits there was no threat of violence given.
Petty slights confirmed.

Governor Northam has said he will withhold funding from any county that refuses to enforce state gun confiscation laws, and Rep Gerry Connelly said that any law enforcement officers that refuse to enforce gun confiscation should be prosecuted. Northam also said he'd consider activating the VA National Guard to seize guns if local Sheriff's offices won't comply. So it looks like it's pretty much a lock that gun confiscation IS going to happen in Virginia. Which is what the people in northern Virginia voted for.
Perhaps SOME in NoVa voted for this.
But, you can bet that many didn't and the same for the remainder of VA.
It won't end well if he tries to go this route.

Also - it is interesting that Northam is so determined to enforce gun laws, but totally ignores immigration laws.
When you win elections, you get to decide which laws get enforced or not. Deal with it.
Actually, when you win elections, you are supposed to demonstrate leadership that takes into account the needs and positions of various constituencies. You are a steward, not a victor.
Your immature statement goes against the founding principles of this country.
And, yes, I realize that you, PP, are not the only individual holding such narrow-minded and childish views these days.
Blah blah blah blah.
I look forward to hearing about you getting red-flagged.
I hope that process doesn't get abused. I can see people people who dox others using red flag laws to harass people they don't like. All the more so since firearms aren't registered so authorities have no clue who actually owns firearms and who doesn't.
So you're threatening to report people who don't own a gun, as owning a gun? Aren't you nice![]()
No I am saying that since firearms aren't registered, a red flag law can, and will be abused by vindicative people. There need to be other laws to prevent that.
I don't want to see cops going into other peoples houses just because a neighbor's dog pooped on their lawn.
Well then when police serve their warrant on me because some gun nutter tried to have me red flagged, and they don't find any guns because we don't own any, then I'll be sending a fed flag petition back to the person who filed it on me, along with my lawyer, with a civil suit. You ammosexuals have no idea who you're messing with. We know how to make your life a living hell. And we will.

Nova shouldn’t get a dime. Let Fairfax County raise property taxes or levy a local tax.
I support that in theory. That poorer schools in Southern VA could get more money. Maybe the restaurant tax could pass now?
I'm the PP and agree. We don't want to be Maryland or DC, but upper income people in NoVA like our family could stand to pay more in taxes to support southwest Virginia. Otherwise you end up with a tale of two states and a lot of resentment. That doesn't work in Nova's favor when the majority of the state (and, therefore, representation) does not live in Nova.
A few additional points here.
First, NoVa has already been subsidizing other parts of the commonwealth for decades.
Second, we’ve had “A Tale of Two Virginias” for at least 30 years. The gap has widened even further over the past 20 years, and there is already plenty of resentment going around.
And third, it’s not just NoVa vs SWVA. It’s NoVa/Richmond/Hampton Roads vs SWVA/Western Virginia/Southside Virginia/rural Tidewater Virginia/Eastern Shore.
I agree that divisions in VA are more complex than Nova vs rova. That said people in Nova are in a position to help impoverished regions of the state with not just tax dollars, but with other kinds of knowledge and capital. I definitely wish we could get rid of the "I'm better than you" attitude. That does not help a single mother in Southside VA escape poverty.
The poorer schools in SW and rural VA already get money from NoVa taxpayers.
So you propose just throwing more money at these areas will somehow help them 'rise up'? I grew up in one of these 'impoverished' areas you speak of and was raised by a single mother who worked three jobs because she refused to use gov't handouts. She was an anomaly amongst my friend group where expecting handouts, rampant drug use and teen pregnancy were the norm.
Money doesn't change the culture of the area. Those areas need more than money, they need a cultural shift.
I agree that there needs to be a culture shift and money won't accomplish that completely. We can use money to fund anti-poverty programs and also attracting businesses to those areas. Actually funding job training for rural, suburban and urban impoverished should be a priority. Housing should be a priority. In rural, this means structurally sound housing. In urban and suburban areas, this could mean not aggregating low income housing income area and going after predatory land lords. I don't having an attitude of superiority due to educational attainment helps anybody especially those living in poverty.
