I told her to choose the girls she wanted to play with and the coaches she thought would make her better. We haven't ever had to pull her out of school early and she can't do homework in the car so it's late nights two days a week in the Spring, but I think she would say it has been worth the sacrifice. She has found her people and the training is great. It isn't for everyone so I would guess those asking how aren't the people who would understand.
I think its great that you knew your kid and did what was best. Can you give some detail on what about those programs make them so much better? Is it that practices are more productive? For instance, I notice that our practices have way too much down time and not much of a "practice plan". Is coaching superior? What made you leave the clubs here? And if I may ask what club were you with here prior to going to Baltimore? What Baltimore team are you with and how did you make that choice based on all of the options?
The style of play was more her style. She was tired of being told she ran too fast and was overly aggressive. The girls are really supportive and understand that it's a team sport so they aren't trying to undercut each other. The girls aren't pigeon holed into a position. They are expected to be effective players, not just effective at a specific position. Practices are super productive. There isn't down time and the girls aren't coddled. She was playing for a top club here and went to a top club there.
